If something in your life isn't working, there's a decent chance you've already considered the possibility that the problem is you.
Not disciplined enough.
Not confident enough.
Too sensitive.
Too difficult.
Too selfish.
Not ambitious enough.
So you work on yourself.

The worst assholes are not cruel.
They are the voices, rules, and expectations you've internalized so thoroughly that they sound like your own thoughts.
That's why they are so difficult to identify!
Each letter takes one of these invisible scripts you may have mistaken for your personality and starts pulling on the thread...
What belongs to you? Which voice is really you, and which one is just an asshole that needs to retire (or rehabilitated)?

I spent years trying to understand WTF was wrong with me.
So I did what you do when you assume you're the problem.
I worked harder. Read the books, took the personality tests, tried the hacks to become more disciplined, consistent, productive.
I kept going after ambitious goals, thinking that achieving success would fix everything about how I saw myself.
Eventually, I burned out.
And then I got angry.
I followed the checklist, I did what my inner assholes told me I had to do to get ahead, and all I got in return was burn out.
So I tried something different.
These letters are about what I've figured out since.
